Insanity - First 2 weeks

I'm on day 13 of this crazy Insanity workout by Beachbody......it is BRUTALLY hard! You have to work out 6 days a week and the program comes with a 60 day calender that tells you what workout to do each day. I have been involved in many different programs and have had a ton of trainers  - I even particapated in the 3 month Beachbody "Project U" test program with Kathy Smith - but this one is different! It's a high cardio body resistant plyometric shikabob! There is very little rest and you are pushed beyond your limits. Shawn T is good at assuring you it is ok to stop if you need to but if you are competitive or strong minded and don't like to stop you are going to burnnnn inside and out! It really pushes you, has great energy and the work out goes by fast! My heart rate is between 170 - 190 (up to 32 beats/10sec!) for the majority of the workout except when stretching. It's pure hell but I see great results - especially in my abdominals (my difficult area)! I know it's working when I start to see definition there!

It has taken me a while to understand No Pain No Gain is not just a saying...you really do have to push through the discomfort and lactic acid burn to get great results - when I used to start the burn was when I would stop - now I whine and wimper my way through it! May as well make the most of your workout!! Like most things in life it's when you step out of your comfort zone that you experience the most change!!
