TRUST YOUR INSTINCTS

Have you ever been faced with a big decision that throws you into the emotional ambivalence of whether to follow your mind over your heart or your heart over your mind? The battle between common sense versus emotions, right versus wrong, comfort versus risk, facing fears versus security.

We have all experienced this. It's frustrating, confusing, draining and can be very wasteful of your precious time.

A career challenge, relationship problem, a move, an opportunity for growth, a family issue...perhaps all. These are life altering decisions that are imortant and hard to make but there is a way to make the decision easier.

The answer comes from within you. It's your gut instinct. It could be as strong as a sudden blow to the stomach that follows with anxiety and hurt or as subtle as a constant silent voice that you hush with fear or comfort....again, you know what I am talking about.

I am a true believer that your instincts will always lead you in the right direction. If you can learn to calm the battle between your heart and mind and really listen to and feel what your instincts are telling you - whether that means facing a huge fear, letting go and free-falling, having to hurt someone through blunt honesty... it will bring you the happiness, success and healthy life that you desire.

Learning to follow your instincts takes practice. It's the game of trust - with yourself. Take a few small risks and see what happens. Perhaps you should go on that weekend getaway that your conservative, thrifty mind is saying no to - but your heart is yearning for...what does your gut say? Take a risk and just do it?? Perhaps you should give that cute, persistent neighbor a date. There is a reason you haven't made a decision yet. Perhaps do a biggie.  Finally end that challenging roller coaster relationship that has left you exhausted for years and open yourself up to allowing real love to enter your life...the peaceful, giving, emotionally secure kind.

Practice listening and following "the feeling" and take note of the outcome. I promise, once you TRUST YOUR INSTINCTS, they will never lead you astray.

Love yourself first. Do what you need to do to make yourself happy. Be selfish when it comes to you so you are much more capable to then give to others.

Deep inside you know what the answer is. It's the right one.

With love,
Christine
