Being Glamorously Healthy is tough people! lol! So moving on to day 19 of the Beachbody INSANITY workout....I know....missed a day or two...I'm not perfect...but I still feel great and I'm working out more than I was before - and harder! I had a little too much fun this weekend and it threw me off my program for a couple days...diet, fitness, business productivity, sleep pattern and focus...bye bye! Like eating though - I guess I could call the need for some social time and fun a craving! I think it is important to listen to those cravings...and satisfy them. The key is to read your body before, during and after fulfilling the craving. Your body and mind are speaking to you. If it was the best, most satisfying treat ever and you feel ok with it after then guess what? You needed it! If it didn't satisfy you, perhaps didn't taste as good as you were hoping or made you feel uncomfortable or sick, then it may be more of a habitual or emotional craving. Learn from it and the next time the craving comes (if it even does) then remember how you felt the last time and decide it it’s worth it. Usually if you distract yourself with something for a few minutes it will go away. Lifestyle changes take time and are a process and understanding the language of your body is a huge part of it.
I have been so focused on mastering vegetarian eating, getting through the Insanity workout and building my business that my balance has been off when it comes to having social interaction. Balance is so important - it brings peace, happiness and fulfillment. You stop saying "I need to do this" and it changes to "I'm so happy I did that - I feel so great!".
So anyways, back on track but I'm going to relax a little and start bringing more 'fun time' into my life - see even us wellness coaches are always learning, growing, making mistakes, checking ourselves and moving forward. That's called being human.
I did a photo-shoot on Thursday for my new website that is coming soon....still choosing pics but I thought this would be a good one to show Insanity results...still about 6 weeks to go!!!
Health and Happiness,
