A little about me......

Hello World.....this is my very first Blog.....which feels like the first moment of the rest of my life! With as much as I normally have to say I'm surprised I haven't used this as an outlet before! I hope that those who happen to come across my words of wisdom, experiences, advice and stories will gain greatly - that is my purpose. To make a positive difference in the lives of others, heal, inspire and help those who come into my life become the most beautiful they can be inside and out!

So a little about me and what makes me ME....I'm a friendly Canadian  from beautiful Vancouver, BC. I'm Eurasian, so half Chinese, half Scottish which I think is pretty cool. Being born into a family of mixed cultures has developed my ability to have an open mind, a curiosity of others and their backgrounds, and an appreciation for acceptance. My parents have been a huge influence on me and I feel so blessed to have been surrounded by their love, support and affection throughout my 35 years. I recently lost my father to a sudden heart attack which as heartbreaking as that was has also been a huge part of my transition into holistic nutrition and health. I believe whole heartedly that with a whole and natural food diet and a healthy balanced lifestyle sickness and disease can be prevented and healed. I also believe that as the education of holistic nutrition spreads and becomes more common and easily accessible we will finally have a powerful impact and decrease in this unbelievable obesity and diabetes crises we are facing. My parents changed their diets and lifestyle choices drastically after my dad's first heart attack...enough that he was given the green light to go off his meds but unfortunately when the second one hit he was two hours away from civilization on a boy’s weekend and help didn’t arrive in time.  There would be a lot of changes I would have made to his diet if I had known then what I know now and perhaps he would still be with us but at least the healthy changes he made gave us a little more time to enjoy him.  I would do anything to have him back here with me, my mom and my sisters. He's my inspiration. His spirit fuels my passion to heal and help this world that so desperately needs it every day.

On a lighter note I was a Fashion Designer in Los Angeles for 10 years before I decided to make a career transition. I have always loved the glamorous lifestyle, the femininity of it, and the beauty and excitement and mystery that comes with that one word...Glamorous. So taking from my experience in fashion, along with my love of beauty products and tips, my slight dabbling in modeling and my passion for holistic health (not to mention a small obsession for natural methods of ANTI –AGING)  may I introduce to you my new blog...Glamorously Healthy!

Holistic beauty, nutrition, wellness and healing tips, recommendations, stories and advice!
I'm going to share with you a ton of wonderful, life changing, easy information to make you your most glamorous healthy and happy self so stay tuned!!
